Five days from now is All Saint's Day and a day thereafter is what we call All Soul's Day both are referring to our departed brothers and sisters' entry to the other side of our lives (sumakabilang buhay na raw, tama nga ba 'yon?)
Anyway, this is one of the right moments to remember them. My maternal mamay (lolo) is VICTOR ADAO, bata pa si Inay ng mamatay siya, di na nga daw niya matandaan hitsura ng mamay ko. My maternal nanay (lola) is CARMEN CASTILLO, I remember her vividly, sa bahay ng bunsong kapatid ng inay ko siya namatay sa Sampaguita, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro. My lolo's parents are Ignacio and Vicenta Adao, they are never forgotten too, my mother is always offering prayers for them when this season comes. My early recollection was, one morning I woke up with candle lights around our house I asked Inay what is this all about, she answered me that they were for your mamay and nanay who inherited us parcels of land in Mindoro, I thank them for that. Simon and Justina Castillo are my mother's maternal grandparents.
Ramon Ilagan and Juana de Castro are my father's paternal grandparents, my father rarely share experiences with them kaya wala rin akong masyadong alam sa kanila, nevertheless we offer prayers for them regularly. They are the parents of Mamay Mundo (RAYMUNDO DE CASTRO ILAGAN [17 January 1902 - 11 August 1988]) and of course biyenan ng Nanay Pito (PETRONILA DIMALIBOT CASTILLO [31 May 1908 - 19 August 1992]) na anak naman ng mag-asawang Bruno Castillo at Paula Dimalibot.
Sa panahong ganito, di rin namin nalilimutan ang nag-iisa naming tiya (paternal side), ang Tiya Moning (SIMEONA CASTILLO ILAGAN [21 April 1928 - 02 January 1989]) she stayed single-blessedness in vocation. Inay always share us that she used to launder our "lampins" and baby dresses when we were still infants, at ang galing daw din niyang mag sulsi ng damit. She was the eldest sibling. Tiyo Toming (BARTOLOME CASTILLO ILAGAN [24 August 1930 - 27 January 2000]) is the latest relative who departed. We have also two uncles (paternal side) na nauna ng namayapa, dahil sa bata pa silang namatay bihira na silang mai-kuwento sa amin but still we remember them, and of course ARIS RAMOS ILAGAN, my cousin and our angel, he joined our Creator when he was still infant. On my birthday in the seventies my Nanay Unda (Reymunda Castillo) demised, she was my Nanay Pito's Aunt.
With special memories for my father-in-law the late JOSE "Pepe" GENEROSO MUNLAWIN (26 November 1939 - 30 November 1984) who until his death offerred his life for his family, he died while working abroad.
To all of you who are already there in the light of our Lord, we are requesting you to pray for all of us here, your relatives and decendants that we will be safe in all dangers and evils around us, at lalong higit na mag-umapaw ang biyaya ng Diyos sa aming lahat & that ultimately we will be having the grandest reunion in Heaven.
+Father God, grant unto them eternal peace and glory in your kingdom, we ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in union with the Holy Spirit thru Mother Mary.
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Pray for us sinners who have recourse to thee.

Mahal na mahal po namin kayong lahat !
